#OC150 Award Ceremony Announced

150 Community Volunteers to be recognized at a special ceremony in commemoration of Canada’s 150 years of Confederation

In the past 150 years Canada has grown to become one of the most welcoming, friendly and peaceful nations in the world. This would not have been possible without our nation's most important asset - our people.

That’s why in a year focused on celebrating our province and country, I will be recognizing 150 community volunteers who embody the qualities and values that make Ottawa, Ontario and Canada great.

We will be recognizing 50 women, 50 men and 50 youth (ages 12-25) who have dedicated their time and talent in the service of our community of Ottawa Centre at an award ceremony emceed by CTV Ottawa’s Stefan Keyes, and a keynote speech by the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, the Honourable Elizabeth Dowdeswell at a special reception hosted by Carleton University, this Saturday.
