What a busy year 2017 was! As I look back at all that we have accomplished together I am honoured to have had the opportunity to serve such a strong, diverse and vibrant community. A community where we embrace the differences that make us unique.
This year we faced challenges, but never faltered in coming together and supporting each other when we needed to most. I am so proud to call this community my home, and have never stopped being amazed by the generosity of Ottawa.
It is with this in mind, that I wish you and your families a truly wonderful holiday. May the giving spirit also inspire you to lend a hand at your local food bank or soup kitchen; a financial donation would also go a long way in making sure everyone is warm and safe this holiday season.
I hope you take the time to relax with your loved ones as 2018 promises to be an exciting and event-packed year, not only for our community, but also for our province. Take this time to recharge so we can get ready for the New Year, because I know the only way we can continue to build a stronger community, is by doing so together.
I hope you have a Merry Christmas (en français), Happy Chanukah, and a healthy and prosperous New Year!
